I'm trying to wipe/format a laptop which has a had a couple of viruses boot can't seem to get to a reBoot stage. Some system files have been deleted which means I can't use the laptops management software to reBoot. I've gone in to F12 and F2 but can't find anyway to do it. Any suggestions. In a nut shell I want to clear the laptop and reinstall everything

You're going to need the Operating System disc. Go into the bios and set it to boot from CD rom. Then the set up will give you an option to format.

What make of laptop is it? What recovery options came with the laptop, i.e. cds or hard drive recovery?
