It's not rough at all. It's on Ellen St. I think you're mixing it up with the origiannly planned cardroom which was to be on Nicholas st. (nasty spot) It's literally 100 yards from my apartment in the citry centre.

Vinny O'Toole is organising the tournaments. €100FO Thrusday and other tourneys Friday and Saturday. I can't remeber what buy in they are. Cash games on the side. He'll probably announce the details in the southcourt on Tuesday.

Good the see it happening at last...on the "rough" stuff I think it would be an idea if you join a club, this may be the case but i dont think so. It would stop alot of drunken bast@$ds wandering in especially this time of year. If it gets a bad name its f*ck"d!!.. .whats the story for entry to mauca, cue, fitz etc?

I lived there for 7 years, and still had a problem with them, but then again thats true of the inner city cork accent (especially) and dublin one too. Everyone should talk in a west of ireland accent, then I'd be sorted..........:D

Everyone will have to bring a passport or some other form of ID and sign up as a memeber on the night. Same as most casino's although I'm surprised that in the Macau you can still just sign in. There is security on the door and Limerick city centre is generally quite safe anyway so there won't be any problem.

Yeah, I'll say it to him. He doesn't read the forums and I don't know what the story is with a website but I'll prob just ask him to email me the details and I'll send it on.

    Hey NickyOD
What's the story with this new place in limerick? Is it just a card room or has it house games? Is Vinny the owner or organiser? If not who's the owner? Any info is cool - sick of driving to Galway when I'm back in Limerick for a game,
    Cheers

The casino has blackjack and roulette also. It's run by Patrick Biwall. I'm not certain who the owners are. I believe it may be a group of Limerick busieness men. I don't know what Vinny's agreement is with the casino but he's in the Southcourt every Tuesday night if you want to ask him yourself.

Cheers - I'll probably see Vinny up in Galway, I'll be in the aces this wkd for the loosest cash game in Ireland

Keep an eye on their rake. It's supposed to be 3% but the dealers are going overboard.

    Cheers for the tip
It's not as bad as everyone makes out - some dealers do over rake at times - but as long as you point it out to them they'll put it back.
It's not deliberate, just bad maths.
I really like the aces for cash games
