Iriver h10 and more MP3 Players halfprice

I know Argos prices are not exactly competititve but at half price ...?

the h10 out of stock in my local store (kilkenny) but had some of the other ones.

why not ring and reserve?

I was a bit cheeky and took a run up to Argos in Stephens Green during workhours (about an hour ago). I got myself a Creative Zen Nano Plus.. reduced from 180 euro to 90 euro.. im delighted i got that and im sure my brother will be when he gets it for his 21st tomorrow.... thanks again for the info on it.. really appreciate it.

Are all their MP3 players half price?
I've tried ringing but can't get through. Too busy to head all the way out to the shop unless I definitely know I'll be getting the player.

@Nala... only some of the MP3 players are half price.. others have some money off them.. I was only looking for one that had a radio also... if you go into Argos there is a leaflet showing all the MP3's on offer...

yah, it seems to be sold out everywhere. Curiously though, it says the price is €147, and then asks if you'd like to order it for delivery between 7-10 December. Wonder would you get it for that price if you ordered it??

Actually, me thinks this might be a permanent price drop.... Sometimes when electronics goods have specials like that the price often comes down within a month or so to that price.... just a hunch....

They were sold out in a all the places I tried in Dublin and also would
not let me place it on order or reserve it. Don't think they will be that
price for long but the likes of pixmania have them for a little over 200 euro.

AFAIK the price is until the 7th

There has been a few items on there brochures that I've found impossle to locate

I wonder if a little misleading advertising is going on, like they have 2 in whole of Eire, often the best offers are "out of stock" on the UK site

possibly but on the otherhand it could just be they're not stocking that model anymore as it didn't sell or is being replaced

Something tells me it's the Pure model but then again I doubt the would've been selling it for such a high price of €299.

try the ring and reserve at all the stores, I had to try for a while before any came available, but ended up getting them in stephen's green, one minute there were none to reserve and the next there was.

word of warning though, a friend reserved one in jervis st and when got to the store on saturday they didn't actually have them, said they had a 'stock issue'.

Mine isn't the Pure version as it has an FM radio on it. Sold out now though.

I believe H10 5GB Pure now is a stripped down version of its sibilings ie. no FM radio. Checked that on iRiver europe website. Therefore, FM radio is only available on 6GB and 20GB versions.

I have H10 5GB with FM radio which is definitely an older version when they first introduce H10 in the market. Well, without FM radio, Argos's price still unbelievably cheap. Bought mine in March 2005 for €280 from Peats in Parnell St.

Well hv to accept the facts; wear and tear, new models in the market and mine is with FM radio...

Ye i went up to the cashier and they said they wouldent let me reserve it because they had absolutly no idea when it would be in stock again and it said wednesday on mine aswel.this was in navan by the way.

I managed to get one today, but it was a bit of trouble. Went into Dundrum last night to try and get one, they didnt have any and didnt know when they'd be in stock, but the girl at the counter told me she could reserve me one in the ilac. Went in today and grabbed it. It's a gift so I haven't used it that much but its really pretty and I'd highly recommend one.

I was gonna get the iRiver H10 but went to Dixons and got the Rio Carbon 6gb instead... the power adapter was faulty and then the player itself died after about 5 minutes.
