    I think that's the largest IDE drive available. To get a larger size you would have to go SATA.

    i think the two i have are IDE would i have to take them out to check or is there another way

    you can get a hitachi or cms 500GB IDE Hard drive. I would really like to know why you want one drive? i would rather have 2 200GB drives i would cry if it broke.

    hrmm, if you don't know that then i don't think you should be looking to buy and install a harddrive by yourself, be safe go for the ide and get someone to install it for you

    if it's an ami bios, try this program, otherwise write down the bios id string (long list of numbers at startup) and put it in here
    or open up the computer and look for the manufacturers name, your gonna have to open it up anyway if you want to install a new harddrive

    Run this util and look under "Main Circuit Board" in its results. That'll tell you what board you have and what BIOS version it's running:
