If it looks too good to be true etc...

Probably leads up to some sort of pyramid scheme or something

You can allways check stuff on a place called www.scam.com - They appeared last year around the time of 'Juice Boosted' which advertised that they could give you 'Dial - Up' speeds faster than the then current ADSL Broadband (Giggles Inanely).

Obviously it was a scam and searches on it threw that place up. At the time I though myself they were actually behind it, (The juice boosted scam, that is), as they were heavily promoting 'Onspeed' and the likes but mainly a high propensity towards onspeed, (Another scam :rollseys: ).

It seems to have grown though since then and has good advice and quite a quick responce time in publishing scams or new ones as they become aware of them.

oh yeah and btw - keep an eye out for the latest 'PayPal' scam - had a couple of e-mails recently which was so obvious lmao :D ..

My e-mail just displays the html code not the html so

    instead of getting
    www.paypal.com

    I get
    <a href="www.nameofsomeidiotscammersphishingsite.com" target-"_blank">www.paypal.com</a>

or in other words - I get to see wether the link is actually going to paypal.

Disable html in your e-mails - although you'll get the html in text - it's a safer way of reading them (In case you open it inadvertantly) - Also remember - an html page can be 'Broken' in such a way that just 'Accidently' opening the html e-mail can load mal-ware to your system! Disable that by disabling html in 'ALL' e-mails...

They want to be 'Sneaky'? You just have to be more 'Sneaky' back ;)
