Crap signal with RIPWAVE

a friend of mine has the ripwave package from IBB. buut hes moved to henly park in churchtown. It doesnt seem to be covered but literally across the road it does work on a green signal. Is there any way of boosting the ripwave unit itself to receive a better signal? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

well ive heard the old metal hanger and a bit of tinfoil in a shape of a dish might work.

too lazy to search but I thought I saw a post where someone had opened up one og those navini boxes and connected a parabolic dish. Got a perfect signal.

Will work better if the unit is beside a window for example, in the direction of the mast.
