Start - Settings - Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager , open the Universal Serial Bus Controllers section and among the various entries you should see one with your vendor name on it (Eg. VIA/Intel etc.). Usually the drivers are kept on the motherboard chipset vendors website. If you're not sure which mbd you have download CPUID, it'll tell yout he chipset, google for it and you should get the vendor and follow their support links to the driver download section, download and install the correct package for your system and you shoudl be done (Just in time to find out the support folks that likely sent you on this errand did so because they didn't know what else to try...but hey it's always worth keeping up to date anyway ;) ).

    Aye.. ^^

TBH, check that all other spec's/requirements have been met; and go back to your ISP and get a proper answer / refund.

Agreed!!! I'd also stick with using Ethernet if I were you. It's a much better way of networking than USB.
