Buttercrane in Newry usually has good offers. No prices spring to mind tho.

Cheers biko, I've to go as far as Antrim town (to collect an ebay purchase) anyway, so I was hoping to avoid Newry as the traffic can be a pain with half of the south heading up there for the same reason!

    Sainsburys usually do a 24 for £10 offer. That's 60c a bottle/can....

Well, got the booze. Ended up going to Tesco in Lisburn. Cheapest beer was Tenents 440ml cans-24 pack for €14.75. Also bought a few litres of Smirnoff, also @ €14.75 per litre bottle. What's a cheap litre of Smirnoff cost down here these days?

Sainsburys at the Quays Shopping centre in Newry have Heinekin 24 cans( the smaller ones) for 4 pounds 20 pence. thats about 6.50 euros spirits for £12 (18 euro) bring a friend to mind the trolly while you go looking, shin guards and elbow pads are a good idea too.

But it's two bottles of smirnoff/bacardi for £20 (c. €30) in Tescos. Not sure if you can mix and match but I don't think so. Having said that, just buy 2 of each for €60 and save yourselves a mint in Newry. Most of the stores give better exchange rates than the banks so paying in Euro might make sense.
