I have a few friends coming up on friday night to go to a gig and i can't put them up. Can anyone recommend a decent b&b. the cheaper the better, so long as theres no rodents or anything, their students so moneys tight and will probably be in an awful state at the end of the night anyway.

its not a b&b, but i went to a concert in dublin a few weeks ago, and i got a room in Lynams hotel on o'connell street (you couldnt get any more central), a room for 2, either with 2 single beds or a double bed cost €58 between 2... the rooms are basic enough, but clean which is always good... but the price is so cheap, you cant go wrong..... hope that helps....

I stay in Ashfield house when i'm here - a hostel (but nicely looked after). It's right beside Doyles Pub in the centre. A room is €20 (sharing with six people), or you can go for the bargain offer of €13 for a room with 14 others. nice place though

Thats amazingly cheap for somewhere so central. Much cheaper than the b&bs on gardiner st last time I stayed in one & much nicer I bet.
