VC Download Problem

Sorry if this has been dealt with elsewhere, but I've repeatedly failed to download the lastest vc software update. I'm getting a 'corrupt installation file' report every time. I'm running XP, if that's relevant. VC support seems to have disappeared since the first time I contacted them and got their standard reply. Any advice gratefully received!

Are you failing to download or failing to install?

If it's a failed install then you will have to completely remove it and start again. From control panel, goto add/remove programs (You might have to switch to classic view). After the un-install, it may say some of the files could not be removed. Find these and delete them. Restart and download again.

If this does not fix it then it may be because you are running PPP as well, as they use the same client software and dll's. You will have to do the same for PPP as well.

Thanks Lemony, it's a failed install. I've checked add/remove programs but the vc install file doesn't appear there, as for instance the ladbrokes one does. This is the most puzzling aspect of the whole thing. I don't have PPP.

Email support and they'll send you a link for the full install.

Ok, I'll try them again, but I won't be holding my breath!
