10+1 sit and go in the merrion tonight.

2nd hand utg +1(i think) raises to 150 blinds 25/50
    I call with a j suited.
    Everyone else folds
    Flop comes a 9 7 rainbow board
    Villain raises all in.

    I fold my a j suited.

He flips over a 8o, I flip my a j, to which he starts barrating me for folding such a hand.
We both had the exact same chip stack and I saw no reason why I should call this with a j kicker when he could of had aa ak aq or 99 or 77,
Was I wrong not to call?

He put me totally on tilt with his talk after that hand and in the very next hand i looked down to see ak suited. He raised to 200 and I reraise all in. Folds around and he calls saying I am only calling to get you out. He turns over kqo. You just know what happens next don't ya?! Q on river and i'm gone with a nh see you guys later.

Alot can be said for the guys with the white earphones...

Whether you should have played the hand or not, is not important. What is important is to stick by your decision. The reason you went on Tilt is a) because you were unsure of your decision to fold and b) because the player took up on this and tried to get at you.

He succeeded. Bring a walkman next time or try get into a frame of mind that your not always saying, shoulda coulda woulda.

Trash talking is a big part of some players game, and often the biggest part. If you want to shut him up, wait for the monster, and get him all in. He can't upset your game if he's not there.

U have got to ask yourself why you called with AJ in the 1st place. Was it so the flop would come either ace high or jack high(most likely it was) or were you in position to take him off a ragged flop. People call with AJ thinking its a monster, now youve hit your ace yoyr folding? Why?do you put him on AQ or AK? If so why did you call in the 1st place

Firstly sorry for this actually being the second exact same thread, my net connection was banjaxed last night and i wasnt sure if it had posted at all,

2ndly I was in position and being the second hand of a ten euro s and g I put him on anything from aa to rags. He had a 8o, and I am well aware that a j is not near a monster, but with the suited I was hoping to either catch my flush or even take the pot with a j kicker, his all in bet was just to much for me at such an early position

considering the speed of the structure and the low standard of most players in these live sit and gos, I think that folding your Ace Jack here is awful. Yes, sometimes you will be up against AK or AQ, but I think that it's much more likely that you're up against a weaker ace or a pocket pair.

You should pay heed to the advice on tilt above, perhaps invest in a cassette walkman or something like that.

I have some wacko jacko tapes too if you want them. He's 'in' at the moment isn't he?

You shouldnt call with AJs, and then give it up that easily on the flop. Flopping a flush is highly unlikely, as is flopping J high.
