UK Modem - Will it work in Ireland?

Can anyone offer me some advice? I'm looking at buying a PC which I've seen and the price makes it a bargain. The only problem is that the modem is listed as "V.92 Data Fax Modem UK", does anyone know whether there'd be a problem using this in Ireland and what makes the UK modems different?

    Cheers

Mine does/did but I had to use the british phone cable that came with it (the standard ones wouldn't work - I never bothered to check why). Anyway, if it doesn't work, v94.2 modems are inexpensive - and sometimes even free.

Thanks for clearing that up Bastardo, I had been a bit worried about buying it only to find out I'd have to fork out on another modem.
