Thinking of placing a bet on the club championship. James Stephens look good in Leinster and Newtown in Munster, but maybe portumna could be the dark horses?

    What do you think?

James Stephens will win the Hurling i'm fairly confident on that!! Football is a little harder to call!

They looked good yesterday , but the ref let a lot go and gave Ucd hardly anything in the second half.
I think newtown are better than stephens , but portumna with cannings and hayes could be the dark horses.

When the provincial is all over , what is the draw for the all ireland semis?

Bellaghy are looking good, but you can never count out Nemo Rangers, they're always there or there abouts.

I know nothing about the Hurling tbh, however I think Kilmacud are going to win the football.

I'd love to see Kilkee win the football. They hammered An Ghaeltacht yesterday. They even scored 2 goals for them.

    Newtownshandrum for the hurling.

    My bad. :D

I had a game yesterday so I was uninformed! Fair play to St. Galls, tbh.

I also think Newtownshandrum wil win the All-Ireland - the way the draw is working out it looks like they will have to play the down champions (If they get over Ballygunner, which I expect they will).

It is set up nicely for them but who will be their opponents - I think, based on james Stephens' performance yesterday (I saw it on TG4) that Portumna will be in the final next Patricks day.

As for the football, I think its between nemo rangers and Kilmacud Crokes - probably Nemo to win it as they have been there and done it all before.
Salthill are a lot like UCD hurlers - i.e. a host of talented, and ex inter-county players from a number of counties i.e. mayo, Roscommon, Monaghan as well as players from other clubs in Galway, Michael Donnellan being a prime example.

i think crokes and nemo may meet in the final in football, and it's tough to pick a winner then.

As for the hurling it'll will be the village agianst newton in the final with the village winning out by two points!!

Crokes didnt look too good today but they got the win and sign of a good side when they dont play that well and still win

Yeh, I think it will be a great match against Salthill.
I fancy Corkes to go all the way, however the winner will come from this game.

I can't believe Nemo are there again, they don't look up to much. It makes me wonder if Munster teams take this competition as seriously as other provinces?
I would have thought that Kerry clubs would have a higher quota of Munster championships at this stage than they do.

AFAIK the kerry championship includes divisional teams such as south kerry who won it this year and these divisional teams arent allowed to represent the county in the provincial championships so then they have to nominate a club team from the region to represent them. This is why An Gaelteacht were in the Munster championship this year and it could be part of the reason they havent won as many Munsters as would be expected

Yip, although they do not nominate a club, they play a separate club-only competition and the winners of that represent Kerry in Munster - if a divisional side wins the county championship.

James Stephens all the way in the hurling!! their preformance against UCD was one of the best i have seen in along time. Brian McEvoy and Phil Larkin will lead them to the Cup

Dont' mind your triple boy, what about the quadruple... Fr O Neills for the Junior!!! James Stephens were lucky enough against UCD, the college nearly had them at the end

Newtown all the way... Come on the green and Gold!!!

They haven't a hope in hell of winning the All-Irleand. Hope they get beaten in their next match.
