I can use the S-Video/TV-out connector on my (brand new Dell Inspiron 9300 :D ) laptop to display my monitor's screen (such as for power-point presentations) on a regular TV....but what else can it do?

ehh, thats its purpose, to connect to a TV or anything else that
    has a s video input.

So you can watch movies, look at pics etc on your TV.

I always thought it would be good if the Laptop companies
designed a s video port that doubled as a mouse and keyboard
input of you so chose. But they are nearly all USB now anyway:rolleyes:.

Is there anything in particular you want it to do?
