Driving Test queries

    Quick one lads.
I'm in the process of applying for my driving test.
My 2nd provisional has expired (since 02/04) and in order to get apply for my third I need to "..provide evidence of a forthcoming driving test appointment..".
That's fine I said to myself till I read this on drivingtest.ie:

"In the case of the latter, when applying for a driving test, applicants should submit a version request from their local Motor Taxation Office indicating the need for early driving test appointment."

    What exactly does that mean?

Also on the form it asks for the expiry date of current provisional....do I just use the date on my expired provisional?

Finally, I was gonna use the Finglas test centre but would it 'favour' me better to use another centre from anyone elses experiences?

    Cheers lads.

I passed my test in the Finglas centre- you just have to keep an eye on the local kids,
they can spot a test a mile away and will try to make you flinch ;):D

Passed mine in Raheny. No kids to worry about really just the village and blind corners with parked cars on residential areas.

If you want to get your driving test early, send in a company letter for employment and they will facilitate you as soon as possible with cancellations.I got mine four months after and 6 months for the second time
