It was unofficial action by the drivers on safety grounds. I don't know the exact details but apparently the company prefer to keep their customers in the dark rather than acknowledge the reality in case it weakens their official position.

Yeah the 70 and the 39 don't go though the center anymore because blanch did'nt get them a bus lane !! you have to go up by westpoint 2 get a 70 or 39!:)

The spelling and grammar are spectacularly awful, but I love the fact that the statement explains why the buses don't go along their old route, possibly, and that you can get the buses from Westpoint, the writer thinks. There's actually no definite information at all in there!
