Hi..I need a little help making my mind up - I'm looking at the following two options:
    A 7 month old great condition HP NC6000 (1.7Ghz Pentium M with 2MB L2, Radeon 9600 graphics, 14" screen)
A brand new HP NX6125 (1.8Ghz Sempron 3100+, X300 shared video memory, 15" screen) for 100 euros less than the NC6000. The trouble is this laptop will come with a German keyboard.
I will use it mostly for work (s/w development, office apps) and perhaps some light gaming. I could probably live with the German keyboard - is that Sempron significantly better than a Celeron M @ 1.4Ghz? Is the NC6000 worth the extra money? Thanks....

the M range of processors are v powerful.
I have a 1.86GHz M chip in my lappy and it out performs a 3GHz Desktop Intel chip. I would myself go for the 1st laptop, seems a much better all round deal + the dedicated ati 9600 will b better for your gaming etc.
The other thing is if ur software developing its gona b hard with a german keyboard for the 1st while anyway

Thanks for the quick reply. I gather the Turion is the real competitor to the Pentium M. I think you're right - the German keyboard could be a pain for a while!

@ Mercury_Tilt..I actually picked up a Gateway machine on ebay (with Pentium M 725) that was within my smallish budget. Thanks anyway though!
