Psychic... but only with times?

    Hey,

This might sound a bit odd.

For the last few years I've been able to predict things to occur at certain times, or tell what time it is.

For example, my girlfriend was going to the airport today. She looked at the clock on her mobile phone. As soon as I saw it was 8:13 I got the "psychic feeling" (hard to explain, but I get a weird feeling when I'm about to be psychic) and told her the bus will arrive at 8:17. And of course, spot on 8:17 the bus arrived.

The above might sound trivial, but I can do it all the time.

If I wake up during the night, I can tell exactly what time it is.
I can wake up 2 or 3 seconds before my alarm goes off.

Now, this time reading thing is not something I consciously think about, but when I get that "psychic feeling" (it's kind of like being disconnected for a split second) I know it's time for me to make a time prediction.

    Am I making sense?
Is the above a known psychic thing?

    It's very strange.

(btw, I have noticed this "psychic feeling" and accurate prediction regarding numbers in general, but it mostly happens with time. For example, if I get in a lift with someone I (if I get the feeling) know what number they are going to press.)

Edit: this psychic feeling used to happen a lot when I hit puberty and it was ALWAYS accompanied with deja vu. But it would only happen about 1 or 2 seconds before an event happened.

It makes perfect sense to me. I'm sure that many people have had this happen to them, yet don't give it a second thought after a while. It's certainly interesting when it happens though. And regarding if it's a psychic thing, I think it might be. It ties in with premonition, which sometimes happens to me as well. I also tend to have this happen to me, yet at the same time, I also sometimes know what the next topic of conversation is, a few seconds before it's mentioned! Usually, in this case, I "recieve" a word associated with the topic, ie: I recieve "plane", someone then talks about doing parachuting, or going on holiday somewhere which requires a plane to get to, stuff like that.

I also sometimes think of a topic to use on a message board, and it ends up being on that message board. For example, I was going to do a "Is the glass half full/empty, etc" thread on Boards, and when I go to Boards later, I fins that the thread was already made! Have you ever had moments like that yourself, in addition to what you say above?

Regarding your "psychic feeling", is it anything like a chill up your spine, or something else entirely different? Also, how did your parents feel about all of this? Usually, if your parents are open to these types of things, they tend to happen more, because they're accepeted and thus allowed to grow, as it were.

Lastly, I think that again this is something that people would consider the perso bringing it up a freak not too long ago, so I think it's great that we can finally get these things off our chest and see if anyone else has had these experiences or knows of someone who has. It really enforces the fact that we're not alone in what we feel/sense/pick up.

Sorry about rambling on, I have a tendancy to do that at times, as I go around in circles, kinda. I also have a tendancy to relate experiences I had (if they're in any way related), as I believe it's both important to share, plus it reassures the person they they're not totally alone in their experiences...

I would not say that this is premonition. It happens to me aswell and i think its just because of the habit you get into of getting up when your alarm goes off,so therefore your body "learns" to wake up around that time.

Although i do believe in premonition im just saying i doubt that in that case it is psychic. As for the other parts it could very well be psychic

I have had some what i can only really think of as psychic experiences for instance, this may sound fake i know, but i could swear that i have dreamt certain things that happened before they have happened. These could be simple little things like seeing a friend at a certain place.Even hearing something at a particular place and time.I usually just assumed it was deja vu which i get alot.

You might benefit greatly from reading "Future Memory & Time" Sean O'Donnell. He's a professor at NUIG in Galway and the book is mindblowing (however badly written). It might be on Amazon but he publishes it himself and stuff. PM me if you want contact details for him to get a copy.

Time being a linear thing might not be too easy to predict after a while. It still sounds awesome to me.

Ye, I can alway do that. I don't have your bus powers though. I suggest you walk around galway with me telling me when the buses will come :/
As for deja vu, that is really weird for me. Sometimes I have predicted full conversations word for word just before they happened.
I would think that if i say 'blah' they will reply with 'blah blah blah' and they do. Rare I get it before something happens but sometimes...It's weird... Maybe it's just me finding people predictable...

The deja vu thing seems to be common. I often can tell exactly by what people are wearing and where I am (in strange places sometimes) that I have seen all that before and it can´t be a deja vu in the deja vu sense as it happens in places I have never been to.

Regarding the waking up before the alarm clock, I´d say that´s probably the inner time clock or the rhythm of your body and is not necessarily a gift, while knowing the exact time nearly all the time genuienely seems to be.

well I know the exact minute a lot of the time but I would put it down to internal clock and I would wake up before my alarm because my body would be used to it or I 'set' my mind to wake up at that time.
Can't really explain the deja vu thing as sometimes it is just too weird...
