    If anyone's at a loose end next weekend and looking for some great entertainment, then check out the Amnesty International weekender at the Village. Its on from 4pm on Fri 2nd to late late late on Sun 4th. Bands, artists, surprise guests, action, competitions, raffles and more, and all in a good cause as well. What more could you ask.

    Bands, DJs, visuals, raffles - The Village upstairs, downstairs, from top to bottom, will be hosting one big long party to kick off the festive season.

    Tickets are available from WAV Ticketbox on Camden Row (open Mon – Sat, next door to Whelan’s venue entrance) - Tel: 1890 200 078 and from City Discs, Road Records, Soundcellar, Amnesty Café on Fleet Street and other outlets. Doors Open: 7.30pm
