Strange Problem

I recently formatted my computer.
I set up my internet connection with no problems (IOL).
I typed in correct username and password,clicked remember me and anyone else on this computer and connected to the internet no problems.
I then activated my xp, no problems. GOt the message "thanks for activating xp etc."

However, everytime i restart my computer, it doesn't remember my username and password. Worse still, it asks me to activate xp again. And the days are going down on it. As if nothing happened.

Any solutions?
Any help is greatly appreciated thanks!


A different problem,
My wireless (inbuilt) can't find any wireless network even though I have it on downstairs.
Also my d-link card can't find my wireless networks.

I thought the problem could have been with the signal downstairs. I made sure all the wires were in etc.. But it can't be with the signal sender downstairs because my card usually picks up other neighbour's networks most times. Yet all i get is blank.
Sorry for being a bit vague with the description of the problem. I just haven't a clue what this problem could be.

Yeah i had the wireless router working perfect before i formatted. Unfortunately the other laptops in the house aren't available this week to see if its my laptops' problem or the router's.

I realise most of u are fed up with people (like me) asking 'stupid' questions!
