    Do you have to have a phoneline plugged into both boxes all the time???

    When they came to do mine they said you have to, for box updates and stuff like sky boxoffice etc. But i think you'd get away without it, im not 100% though

    Yes, otherwise you will receive warning letters from Sky. Sky do regular callbacks on both boxes to check if they are connected to the same phone line.

    Then you'd think someone at sky would tell you this before they organise a technician to call out! I could have had it ready if I'd know, now I have to book another day off work and another dude to come out and install it!

    It is in the T&C on the web, but I do understand that you dont get any paperwork until the engineer arrives.
