Set this up and tweaking it the last couple of days.

It uses pmwiki (which is really easy to install and has lots of features), and a slightly modified version of the monobook skin (changed mainly so it displays google ads).

I hope people will be interested and a user-base will develop

Is MediaWiki difficult to install? Are both free? How would i go about installing a wiki af my own?

pmwiki is free and I'm 99% sure mediawiki is too.
You can download pmwiki from http://pmwiki.org. It also gives installation instructions.
I'm going to put the modified template file up for download which might be of interest if you want to use google ads with pmwiki.
Mediawiki needs a mysql database as I recall and is difficult to set up on a windows server. Pmwiki is easy to set up on windows or linux, although the urls are going to look messy if you are using iis. (like they do for me :(. You can make them look better if you are using an apache server).
