Underage Smokers?

I was wondering should we allow people we knowingly know are underage in the Smoking Room? I personally do. I think most of us here (honestly) regret starting smoking. I know I do. Maybe if we allow them in, and hear it from our own spluttering lungs, it might just give one or two the impetus to quit. I really don't know. Please state your arguments for/against here.

Yeah people who are underage should be let in here, its not illegal to discuss it if you're underage.

would you not also say that to be 'allowed into a private forum' would/could be seen as 'cool' to our young and impressionable boardies - god now I feel old.... thanks Papa, I'm blaming you :mad:

I suppose it comes down to where this forum is going.
Will it be a morbid deathly place where people constantly give out about smoking and lament their inability to quit.
Or will it be like it was proposed in the request thread in the forums forum? (ie: as a place for smokers to chat and compare notes on what they do.

Methinks the latter.

I see absolutely no problem with it as long as they already smoke. If they already do than we cannot be accused of encouraging them to start. There is no onus on us to tell them quit.

I have also been smoking since i was 13 , a lot of people actually start at about this time. At that age your starting your teenage years of trying things and also there is the secondary school factor.

Yup, I was 12 It's mad to think I've been smoking for more than half my life I'm 25 btw
