    Hi,

I am just about to buy this beastly machine. But i want to know if i can upgrade the ram myself sometime down the line.

Does anyone know about the truelife screen and is it worth it, (its an extra 160)

    Also,

where can i get a discount coupon, or does anyone have one that i can use :D

    Thanks

I have the 9300 and yeah ram easily upgradable, i got the regular 1440x900 widescreen monitor. I found it absolutely grand, why bother with the extra! imho

I have it too. Great machine. Easy to upgrade. You can geven upgrade the gfx card your self (not so easy!).

Not sure what screen I have but it looks brillant. Just keep it clean and you'll really enjoy the machine!

just a note of warning, i don't know if it applies to dell's but if you break any seals you'll invalidate your warranty.

memory is fine to upgrade as long as you remove upgrade if you have to send it back :)

Have the 9300, great piece of kit. I have the wuxga (1920x1200) screen on mine. At first it was a bit weird cause the high pixel count makes font smaller than you will be use to, but once i started viewing movies, pics and games i was chuffed with my choice, and recently my friend purchased a 9300 with the lesser screen and i'm definitley glad I shelled out the extra few bucks. If you didn't get the wuxga screen you wouldn't be dissapointed, but if you did get it you would be very glad you did so.

I just made the purchase, thanks for all the tips on upgrading etc. I think using 3d modelling tools is going to be easier on my 256MB video card compared to my great 16MB card!! I dont know how i used that crap card for so long.

    Thanks
