Is this what defines seeing stars?

Im sitting here at my desk. I just had a bit of a cough attack. when it finished I had all these bright little things swimming around in front of me. Ive had them before. They just last a few seconds.

The best way i can describe them is that they look like tiny little white dots (very bright) swimming around.

Is that whats called seeing stars? I take it its just a temporary loss of oxygen and nothing to worry about?

    Serious answers please AS!

Its an interesting question and I am not too sure why it does occur! When you cough, you change your blood pressure as the force of the muscles contracting around the heart decreases flow of blood back from your head and also reduces the amount flowing to your brain (transiently). I believe it is related to this, but would appreciate anyone who could shed light on it in full.

I get it when I do cartwheels, or a diving tumble. Don't ask why I do these things, just accept it. If I've warmed up however it doesn't happen, only if I do it spontaneously. Never got it as a kid either, only since I was around 15 onwards.
