    Is that the VGN-FS315M?

www.microaid.ie are excellent. They're based in swords. They dont have it on their website yet, but they should be able to give you a price, ring them.

    www.elara.ie are good too.

Is your heard set on the vaio? what do you need the laptop for?

For €1500 (from microaid) you could get the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M 1437G
    - PM 750 (1.87), 1GB RAM, 80GB SATA, WXGA Crystal View 15.4in TFT, ATI Radeon Mob X700 128MB, spkrs + woofer, DVDRW DL, 4in1 card reader, remote control, modem, lan, WLAN, firewire, XP Home SP2, Works 8.0 DVD

A much better laptop all around imho.

edit: PC World arent "dodgy", they are just generally very uncompetitive when it comes to prices and fairly gormless in the shop itself. Also, you can generally do better than dell for the money imho :)

Elara is currently being run by liquidators AFAIK. Only do cash for goods exchanges.

Moving this to the laptop forum.

the goose, i would actually agree with anybody reccomending dell. they do some very good offers on laptops and you can choose the specs you want, important seen as tho laptops are more difficult than pc's to upgrade.
if you are buying in the next 2 days dell have great offers for the inspirion 9300 including free double memory (to one gig) and €150 off. check it out:
    http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?b=&c=ie&cs=iedhs1&l=en&oc=N11936&rbc=N11936&s=dhs&sbc=iedhsrsinspn_9300_2

you can save €315 if you dicide to go for a shorter warranty
