just recieved the mcd newsletter and it had a large section about the meteor awards next year, nominations were announced today.. bt thats not why i started the thread reading through it, it said that tickets will NOT be available to buy they will only be available via competitions whats that all about? i have been to every meteor awards and am not happy with this, any one care to explain to me what the logic behind this is as i am baffled!!  :(

It's an awards ceremony, not a bone fide gig. They don't have to sell tickets if they don't want to. The logic is probably to give away all the tickets as prizes to people that vote, hence more people will vote
