Limewire Restarting PC

    Hi, limewire is restarting my pc. It runs pretty well for 30-40mins and then my computer just reboots.

    Anyone have something simular happen?

    Heh. I cannot get it to turn my PC off when I want..
    Do you get an error or anything?
    Does it coincide with the end of a transfer(or transfers)?

    the answer is the second word of ur post spyware i mean limewire
    1. uninstall it cos it sucks (it used to be alright when it 1st came out but its ****e now and u wont get anything u want there)
    2. better get some spyware removal software and get rid of all the spyware supplied by limewire
    3. have a look into mIRC (some threads on boards)
    4. install mirc, download ur stuff that way :D

    Limewire seems to get me pretty decent download speeds, and id love to get it working. Ares & Kazaa are just crap for me these days.......

    Have run adaware n removed spyware. I get an error on restart , the usual windows has recovered from a serious error crap. I have also tried edonkey and i hate that thing..... any others? BitTorrent sorta confused me , nice and simple would be nice.

    LOL, didnt say i couldnt use it.... just have pretty much no patience at the min (i spent roughly 2mins with BT and didnt bother after that). Im sure its not rocket science and id be well able to do it, but if theres programs like limewire etc... why bother? Im getting good speeds for my connection as is so id like to keep it that way.

    Plus im prob going to try usenet pretty soon anyway. [PS Am also a Computer graduate so prob shouldnt be making myself look so silly :) ]

    Ahh BitTorrent looks extremely simple now, my mate that showed me before went through all this crap in IRC forums etc and it looked like such a pain to find anything and download when compared with ares , kazaa etc.

    Will grab a client and try it out.

    I don't know why people use Limewire, it sucks big time. Give "Bearshare Lite" a go, google it
