    Hey Guys,

Ok, I am currently a Sky Subscriber to the Top Tier (Sky World).
I want to get Sky+, but there is no way in paying 350euro approx for it. After all I have been with Sky for 5 years.

So here is my idea, what if I cancel my Sub, and then get my Wife (she will use her Maiden name) to order Sky Plus at the new customer rate of 69euro currently on offer.

    Will it work??

    Cheers

Well, if you went for multiroom, you'd get Sky+ for €69.

That idea of yours isnt' as handy done as it once was. Did you write your phone number on your original contract? If they see a 2nd application on same line, the contract is void and won't be processed. I'm not sure how things work if a bank account matches elsewhere in their databases, or if it's checked

    Total Bull

I've been with sky for the last 3 months and Yesterday i decided to upgrade to sky + with multiroom viewing. all it cost me was €69 for the box + free install. all i had to do was pay €69 up front with Credit Card.

I did that for last xmas to get Sky+ cheaper..

Previously had the normal sky for over 12 months..

I was told to change 2 things by a sky installer at the time; one was my surname and the other was the phone number as thats one of the search keys on the Sky database in scotland..

Not sure if its true but I changed both and it worked like a dream!!

By the way by changing the phone number I put 003531 before my landline and I changed my name by using my Irish version!!

Also thinking of cancelling my Sky+ account. I have a new landline number with Blueface. How could I use my existing Sky+ box. Do I need a mirror sub. to use the record facility.
If I do not need to record on the second box, I presume that it will pull in the FTA channels ?
