Been provoked into getting myself banned

One user as far as I'm concerned is rounding up various mods all of a sudden into provoking me/trolling me into a reaction.

I reported a abusive comment about another user on this thread and nothing was done so I feel there is a conspiracy.

Any feedback?

This is boards Zane I think you should ignore this sort of stuff. There are plenty of people on boards whose sole mission is to get people banned.

i have not "rounded up" anyone! and as i keep saying... there is nobody out to get you or try to make you get yourself banned.

a poster disagreed with you and yet again the thread decended into an argument because you seem to think everyone is out to get you.

I fully back Zane on this one. There is something suspicious going on in that thread and that board in general with regards to Zane getting repeatedly mounted and impaled. There seems to be a conspiracy theory in place to fock Zane, which ordinarily might not be a bad thing but it's a bit of a sausage party over there.

However, I am 1/16th Indian and I found Zane's comments about my people highly offensive.

Ok maybe it was a bit harsh however I have noticed odd posts towards me from that particular user before and I felt that post from BM was sarcastic and born little relation to what i originally said. I carried on-topic after my comment for note. His reaction was uncalled for, lead to agro, I reported it, nothing done about it (no warning for me or BM) so agro continues until certain users jump in all of a sudden for no reason. This is where I feel I'm been deliberately provoked into saying somthing stupid.

The first "leading to aggro" was on your part I reckon Zane. You replied with a condescending post directed at breadmonkey and he retaliated by calling you a sad sad man. You shouldn't be getting worked up over this, and it's not up to us to hold your hand when you got yourself into that lukewarm flamewar.

I'm gonna have to agree that Zane's response to breadmonkey's post, which I see as completely legitimate, if a little sarcastic, was what started all of this crap. Maybe it was just caused by a little misinterpretation of bm's post, I can see why it could be taken as a cheap shot or patronising.

Surely it's no big deal, though, and we can move on and try to keep things civilised in future...?

agree totally dave, and im sure you remember that it wasnt too long ago that this issue was raised on the board. however, the only way civility will reign is if people stop jumping to conclusions and use a bit of a cop on.

For someone who's been here as long as you have, you have an incredibly thin skin. I quote peachypants in that thread:

Now, perhaps there has been ongoing "disagreeing" with you, but IIRC the last time you started a similar thread on feedback, all of the regular UCD posters were in agreement that you simply tend to do a lot of moaning. The thread(s) you linked to in that thread also indicated - like in this case - that you tended to just explode after someone quoted you with a minor or non-inflammatory disagreement.

I'm still open to the possibility that you are being baited by people to provoke a reaction, but regardless the problem is still yours, and can still be prevented by you. Think before posting. If you get angry or offended, stand up, go get a cup of coffee, read something funny or listen to music, and remember that it's only a message board - nobody is out to get you.

Actually, Blush's first post on the matter is in that thread I linked to. I reckon it was more to do with Truckle being piddled off at the amount of threads turning to shíte like that.

You could see both posters as being off-topic but at least Blush puled it back. Zane's rant was totally unnecessary but unfortunatley not uncommon.
