Inspiron 5100, whats it worth

    Hi,

    I posted about this months ago but searching is disabled so i cant find the thread anymore.

    Currently upgrading my laptop. Looking for a rough value of my Inspiron 5100

    P4 2.4 Ghz
    512 RAM
    15 Inch Screen
    20GB HD
    XP Home

    I paid 1700 for it 2 years ago. Just wondering what its worth now (im guessing about 500-600)

    I'd say close to €400 if you are very lucky. I had more or less the same machine (less ram (384mb) faster P4 & bigger HD) and alot more extras (external 5.1sound card, case, wireless card, usb hubs etc etc) and I got offered €450 and that was a couple of months ago. Wasnt worth my while selling so gave it to my sister. Cant see you making much more.

    Just on a side note I bought mine in america for under $1000. Ireland will always be a rip of republic!

    Try Buy and Sell if you wana get a decent price
