Just got a second hand strat (89 jap) which has a fair amount of fret buzzing going on - ive had a play around with the setup myself but no joy (mostly adjusting the bridge), tried adjusting the truss rod but it wouldnt budge and i dont really want to force it, anyone got suggestions for somewhere to get the strat looked at ?

Is the neck bowed back and are there particular frets that are buzzing? TBH if the truss rod ain't moving I'd get it to a pro, check Derrick Nelson's details in the Instrument Resources sticky. I hear he's booked solid until Christmas though.

If it is bowed back and the fret buzz is down towards the nut maybe try sticking on a set of 11s to try to coerce it back the right way?

MI aren't doing set ups any more afaik. If the truss rod is stuck, Derek Nelson is your man.
