Offer ends midnight tonight! I did it there and I'm now waiting for the aul' confirmation e-mail. Cheers basq.

No problem - it does says in the T&C's that it's only open to UK residents but we'll give it a go!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,211 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Did you just bluff a postcode then? My dad is Welsh and we have a house there so I used that postcode, I'm registered to vote in Wales and all so I guess I wouldn't be cheating the system that much.

    I used SW16 - guessing it's somewhere in Swansea! :D

Yeah, bit annoying but worth a try anyways.

Not sure how they could verify this though.. unless they check your billing address on your credit card on checkout or something like that.

I have never felt do depressed in my life ;-(

no need to feel so down.. they're only giving out 75,000 altogether.. which i'm almost certain includes the u.k too (same offer over in their papers)..
this thread was started at around 7pm on the closing date so i doubt anyone here will get the £5 voucher either.. (although i hope they do)

Just got my voucher in a mail - some of the T's & C's:
You have until the 30th November 2005 to take advantage of your discount!
There are tonnes of great offers you can redeem your voucher against.

Remember we cannot give you change - so aim to make your basket value worth
more than the voucher itself to make the most of your discount!!

N.B. The process of allocating the vouchers was based on the following
    criteria:

    - All entries into the promotion were filtered out to make certain there was
      one entry per person.
    - The vouchers were allocated according to the time
      you entered into the promotion.

A copy of the standard T&C's from the first mail were attached also, with mention of the "must live in the UK" bit, so heres hoping.

    Thanks again basquille! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Excellent news fellas. Got one myself.

Actually didn't think we'd get one considering we were so late in applying - won't get to spend mine til the weekend probably so if you spend yours in the meantime, let us know if it goes throughs successfully (because of the whole UK bit)

got one too, might pick up the new darkness for 2.99!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,211 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Damn I didn't get one, why do I always miss out on these things? My e-mail address must be notorious in the industry ever since I managed to get 100 £2 cdwow vouchers. My god was I pissed off the day I opened my hotmail account to find them all randomly and permanently deleted.

    OT:

I heard it - don't bother! With the exception of "Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time" - it's a pretty bland album!

Liked 'Permission To Land' but not a big fan of this. it may grow on me but then again, for £2.99 - why not?

Hope the vouchers work for ye all! Keep us updated.

Is there any way to search play.com for items £5 and under or is it just a case of having to browse through each category?

    Cheap bastard! :D

Just look under the different sections of Bargains for any range starting from £4.99 - warning! Pretty much all are crap / unheard of (or both)!

A couple of good ones for £5.99 and £6.99 in the Top 100 though.

    Bourne Supremacy for €1.45!

    I love this voucher!

So.. what did everyone order with their £5 Voucher?

Myself... i went for the 5-disc edition of The Godfather Trilogy - and got it for a phenomenal £11.99 (or under €17.50).

Excellent price for it considering i've seen it in most shops for €60 - €70!
