As many of you probably know, over here in England, Bulmers is called Magners. It's the exact same drink, exact same taste, exact same label, it even says "Made in Clonmel" on it.
So what's with the different name?

This is right. There's another drink named bulmers registered in the UK and Europe. It's a bit like American Budweiser in that it's named Anheuser-Busch and other names throughout europe as European Budweiser (Budvar) has the rights to the name in Europe. How Ireland escaped that one I don't know!

ah, the age old question is finally answered for all us cider drinkers.

though i dont know why because i know im wrong, but magners and bulmers do not taste the same even if both served side by side in the same long neck bottle. ive tried it and found they differ.

and why dont they serve magners on draft in the Uk instead of Strongbow. ditto for the usual beers/lagers. In ireland, budweiser, heiniken, carlsberg, miller etc all served on tap and in the Uk you have like Stella (some places here have it on tap), kronenburg?!?, fosters etc. you have to buy the bottles. why oh why

i would of thought bud and heiniken would be worthy of a tap of their own, they are like the biggest drinks around no?

Lots of pubs in London have Budweiser on Tap.
It's not nearly as popular here as it is in Ireland, though.
