drive's missing in save dialog box

    Hi

    was doing a favor for a guy and looking at his PC, when i checked it out, when he was trying to save a file in word,excel, etc he went to save as and the dialog box appeared but when he clicked on the down arrow none of the standard options appeared on it. it just seemed to hang and i had to end up closing the application through task manager to finally end the program.

    Has anybody any ideas on how to solve this or that have come across this issue before?

    surely somebody out ther has come across this sort of issue before !! any hints or tip's would be use full

    If its only happening in the office suite i would try a reinstall of office .
