Thought it was a pretty clever ad myself, the flashing really attracted my attention.

Good ad I must admit, very eye catching. Hey, don't hold your breath on the ad being taken down, in the middle of October I'd occasionally see the Boards paintball ad up there when the event took place on the 3rd or 4th of September!

I too thought it was a crap ad, but I didn't start a thread about it.

If you dislike the ad's just get adblock for Firefox. One click and they are gone forever.

Theres nothing wrong with the ad, its quite a good ad too.
Yes, it has passed the 12th but every single boards event ad that has been up has always been left there passed the 12th, look how long the paintballing ad was there for.
My advice: Get over it already, it's going to happen many times in the future and/or get an ad blocker if it annoys you so much.

12th has come and gone guys - any chance we can lose it already? The flashing is really distracting. Anyone else agree?

It caught my attention, but its too quick flicking through

Thank God for my firewall, I have it programmed to strip out ads from webpages using the common adservers and known phrases. I blocked the ads on boards ages ago. And when I get another PC I am installing a porn-filter to strip out even more ads as well as blocking stuff I dont like being accessed on my internet connection by other family members. Before you say anything to me about this, I pay for the broadband and I will say what can and cant be looked up on it.
