    Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could help on this - when i listen to music on my pc there is only sound coming from one of them. Its not the speakers themselves as when i plug them into my mp3 player they work fine. Any ideas?

I assume you've cheked your soundcards control panel (if it has one) and made sure its not something as simple as the balance

Yeah, make sure the balance is fine and that the lead is in properly.

Make sure you have a stereo soundcard:p , as mordeith said check balance, try balance in whatever media player you are using, try onboard sound, try a different soundcard, run a test track ( a track that says left,right,left.....)

If none of these work, it is more than likely the output on your souncard, oh and make sure you have stereo selected in the control panel, and make sure to tell windows you are using desktop speakers if it thinks you are using 5.1 speakers maybe that is where you're sound is gone.

Thanks for all your help ppl. Ran those checks and balance, sound card etc were fine. Started messing about with the lead and it appears the problem is actually with the input jack connection. Is it a big job to get that fixed? Sorry for the lack of info earlier. New to this kinda stuff as if you haven't guessed...
