Mame Cabinet: Sourcing Cab

After going through a phase last year of thinking about making a nice 'ol mame Cab I've decided to really go for it, I found and Old riva TNT2 that'll send a signal supported by a Arcade monitor, I'm going to buy the Oldish Pc off a friend and have researched all about fitting in controls etc.

Only one thing remains...Only it's a really big thing. The old arcade machine I'll have to gouge. I'm wondering has anyone ever found an easy way to buy one?
Whats the best method? Going to an old arcade in Tramore and try and look around the back? What do you think?

I don't really want to make an cab cause it'd take away from the authenticity.

Just make one yourself. It's much more satisfying.
I tried all the major arcades in Dublin, and none of them have any spare ones.

Although, the Sound Cellar on Nassau Street has an old broken arcade cab. Maybe you could make them an offer.

Depending on the condition it's in you could expect to pay anything from zlich to €200+ for a plane Jane Jamma cab. Obviously if you have a board thrown in, a montior or any fancy artwork ie. An original Mortal Kombat cab or something, It would obviosly be more!
If you want my advise get some plans or a book from Amazon and build it yourself!

The reason I was asking is that we have an old geneic stand up cabinet(no artwork) - it's got a monitor, coin mech etc and 2 player contols for Mortal Combat(2 joystick w/6 buttons each and the 1p/2p buttons) and the MK1 board. We were just taking about selling it and I saw this post! I'll take some pics tomorrow and post it in the For Sale forum! ;)

Ebay is the best place to buy a hollow cab, also its quite cheap to get a regular old style TV since everything has turned HD recently and you can connect a pc to a television with the right cables ( Maplin ) all you need then is an X-Arcade 2 player joystick.
