Looking for HTPC advice

I have a custom built P4 based PC that's running away fine in my spare room. I recently bought a 32" LCD TV that I now want to build a HTPC around.

My current case is bulky and noisy (mostly the PSU) so I need to replace the case and psu. Don't want to have to replace my ATX board.

I have loads of external USB ad Firewire devices, an EIDE and SATA drive, DVD-RW, PCI wireless card and extra PCI USB ports all of which will need to be catered for in the new setup. Will be adding a PVR capture card. Front bevel USB 2.0 and Firewire ports will be a must, as will a quiet as possible setup. Won't go so far as buying fanless PSU etc. My ATX board needs to fit in the new setup.

Looking for advice on what to buy and where to buy it. Want to spend no more than 200 Eur if possible.

Any suggestions from someone who has done this ?

Case wise, silverstone do some class looking HTPC case's... If ur looking for something a bit cheaper, thermaltake do a few cases too.. Quality n looks aren't as good but a good bit cheaper. U can just stick everything u have at the mo into the new case...

yeah had a look at a few on Komplett and they look nice. Doesnt solve my noisy PSU problem though.

What is tha max wattage in a PSU I'd need for the hardware mentioned above. The brain is a P4 3.2HT, and any suggestions on a quiet PSU that will do this job ?

4-450w should do u fine... Get a PSU with a controlable fan speed, that way u can turn it right down when watching dvd/web surfing n turn it up when playing games/decoding... Most new psu's are fairly quite n sure ur not gonna hear it when ur watching tv..

I keep recommending these puppies.....www.hitide.ie -> bequiet psu's. They control fan speed by temperature. Quality piece of kit.

they look great. Toms Hardware seem to like them anyway - always a good sign.

Maybe a Silverstone case and one of these puppies is the perfect solution then. And all for little over 200 blips. Sweet. Thanks folks
