This is actually the second time i've seen this, but i wasn't at my home computer, so without the hand history to review i couldn't have been sure.

Is this a tribeca problem, or just VC?

Think some say highest hand is a Straight Flush, others a royal flush. When u think about it, a royal flush is just the highest possible straight flush..

on pokerroom when theres a royal flush it comes up in capital letters so u wont miss it

Yea i got that on Vc b4 when i thought a royal flush has to be hearts. I've never seen a royal flush come up

when some1 says they have it a set, they have a pocket pair and they hit and make a set. If they have trips its when the board pairs and you have one of the paired. thats what i thought the difference was or am i just nick picking?

yes i've noticed this before also. Another common one is player x wins with str8 (6 7 8 9 10) (10 kicker) :eek: . Anyone know of a situation when a kicker comes into play when u have a str8?;)

A royal flush is just the biggest straight flush. Tribeca software is not the greatest as you all know so it can't distinguish between the best straight flush and an ordinary one but it is not mis-labelling it ffs

Did somebody ask if a kicker plays for straights? This is almost as bad as Viv Williams claiming that KK66A beats KK88J because they both have two pair and his kicker is higher!

By kicker in straights they obviously mean who has the higher straight ie ten high (kicker) or J high (kicker)

srry but thats giving them too much credit.. holdem is a five card game and a kicker only comes in to play to determine a winner between identical hands and since a str8 is a 5card hand there cannot be a kicker.
