I'm in the middle of my 'stay away from online poker' phase after getting scalded yet again. Am I the only player on this forum who doesn't win online ???

You're not alone!! I've more or less packed in Online Poker. It's much easier to go on TILT when online I think cos you get bored easier, nobody to talk to etc.
I only play offline in the Fitz now and have found it to be very profitable at the moment.

Most people dont post about their losses, so it can be deceptive.

I don't win online nearly as much as I do live. If I stuck to multis and sit and goes I'd turn quite a big profit but I always end up blowing my winnings in cash games and satellites on stars. The choice of games is too big for me and I play alot online when I'm tired/hungover/ drunk which needless to say isn't too profitable.

This game is very popular Careca. It had 50 runners last week and I'd expect at least that this week. It's a nice prize pool and a good structure.

Does this Sporting Emporium have a website? I've Googled it to no great avail? Anyone know what their tournament schedule is and what the good value tournaments to play are?

In short, yes. I'm up 10k already this month playing the .25/.50 NL tables.

Just because you are up does not mean that he is the only person on the forum who doesn't win online. I can guarantee there are quite a few.

The general inability to sense tone on this board never ceases to amaze me....

    But to answer your question
How many hours a day do you spend on them.

Not very long, probably 1 or 2 hours. It gets boring taking 1000s off fish every night.

yes I can see how winning money could be boring...

so you 'get bored' making about $1000 an hour yes????

It's pretty average for winning 25c/50c NL players to make upwards of $10k per month, I'm having a poor run atm and am only up $2k for the first two weeks of Nov.
I'm playing 6max tables though so that might make a difference.

Similar problem for me on the 0.25/0.50. making about 1k a day, but February was worst month as there were only 28 days in the month, so only €28,000 profit for that month. Can we lauch a campaign to get that changed? I estimate that if there were 730 days in the year i would double my profits. Of course, if there were 1560 days in the year i would quadruple my profits; but that's only crazy talk.

...If you are losing online i would recommend checking that your poker software is not rigged against you (remember to uncheck the "I want to lose" box)

going back on topic...any report form last night?

I played anyway. Very plush spot. Only about 34 runners with the top 5 getting paid. Nice grub at the break and a few free beers went down well. Had a look downstairs and again very nice. ATM downstairs (could be dodgy).

Anyway, to the poker. Second hand in I get 33 while UTG + 1. (2000 starting chips, 25/50 blinds, 30 min rounds). I call, the SB completes and the BB raises to 200. I call, SB folds. Flop 972 no suits. He bets 300. I raised to 1000 (showing him I am committed) and he folds. I then get moved to new table.

After about two hands I raise on the button with 75c. SB calls. Flop 1086 (no clubs). SB checks, I bet he calls. Turn 2. He checks, I check. river 5 he checks, I bet and take it down. Next hand dealt Q10s. Flop KJx with two diamonds. It is checked all around. Turn K. Checked all around. river A of diamonds. First to act bets 350, I call as I am afraid of the diamonds or possible slow played monster, three other callers and my straight is good. Motoring along nicely to about 5000 with my second chance chips still to come. Very little cards before the break so I have roughly 7000 after my extra chips.

Three table start after the break and I am completely card dead. Took down one pot alright when I checked the BB with 76s. Flop 754 (lovely). I bet get called in two places. Turn 7. I bet again and take down the pot. This was the highest i had got in the tournament with around 9000.

Down to two tables and I have fold reraises on about 3 occasions. Once I was bluffing to pick up the blinds (and would have won a monster pot with my 109) and another time I raised 3 limpers with A10 and got reraised by the button.

The final hand of the night came for me when I had about 4700 left. I raised (1600) with KQ in mp after one limper. Limper calls the bet. Flop J10x. He quickly goes all in for 3100 (exact same amount as me). I put him on AJ, A10 as I think he would have reraised with a big pair. It might have been a bad call but I thought a K or Q would also get me out. I called anyway and he had J10. No A or 9 and I'm out in about 17th. Good game, will certainly be back.

Have you tried multitabling? It allows you to still make a huge profit, only multiple times over! I draw the line at 16 tables at once though. Again, it just gets boring when you're winning that much.
