All my lecturers give me lecture notes online as PDFs. One lecturer gives notes with blanks in them so we fill them in in class as we go. Instead of having to print of all these notes, is there anyway I can edit the original PDFs as I do most of my study from the pc and don't want to have to waste loads of money on paper. Thanks

AFAIK you can't edit PDF files unless you have Acrobat Professional and then only if permissions for editing have been allowed by the creator. Chances are you only have Adobe Reader so I reckon you're stuck. I'm more than happy to be corrected though :D

You'll need Acrobat Pro to edit the PDF directly, though I am aware of a program that converts pdf to word document. I think it's called pdf2doc or pdf2word, but it's also not free. I had a trial version, from a PC Plus disk I think, and it worked quite well. This might be it I think.

Acrobat pro is really only for minor edits anyway as you don't get much control over the document. See if your lecturer will pass on the source document (unlikely perhaps, but worth a try) or use a convertor like I mentioned above would be best.

Is there any free way? This would save me a lot of hassle but it doesn't warrant spending a few hundred quid on software.

I'll bow to your knowledge on this then....only time I open a pdf it's a user manual. I've opened them by accident with PS7 and it gives me the option to rasterize the text....the document is then editable....at least to the point where you can do what the OP is asking...ie. fill in the blanks

    As for a free way...
    Not a clue :v:
