    Howye

Just a question about judges for intervarsities. We (NUIG) are having our IV in January and we know a Galway man willing to be the judge. His name is Sean Lavelle and he is a former secretary of the IAAA - he knows his stuff. Would anybody object if we use Sean as the judge for the IV? Would save Tony the trip!

Should be OK. We at UCD were often inviting people not affiliated with IAAA and not trained as FITA judges. IVs are not FITA shoots, so there is no real need to be too strict about it. If Sean knows his stuff, then it won't be a problem at all.

As long as he knows his stuff. I had words a few years back with this dude in UCD who obviously had no clue what he was doing.

If Renegade_Archer can judge, anyone can :D

Being serious though, no objections here either. If he knows the rules and can call a possible linebreaker then he's fine for Intervarsities.

Hey now, I'm perfectly fair, I hate everyone equally :P

    Sorted.

He shot indoor and outdoor for years before his shoulder gave in but (as I said) he was the IAAA sec and judged a few comps in his time.

Thanks for getting back to me - now the real planning begins!
