Too bloody right it was! Extremely loud as well which was a bonus. Nice selection of songs too. That Josh Pearson chap was really good too.

Actually there was a mix up, they were meant to play Vicar St and the Village but the Village gig was moved to the Spirit Store. They did the Vicar St gig (and it was great but this last show was better).

Yeah, my ears are still buzzing. Enjoyable night, but I didn't think much of Josh Pearson, TBH. Preferred the Vicar St. show for some reason. The crowd annoyed me though. I annoyed myself'n'all.

I just slightly preferred this show to Vicar St because I was stuck down the side at Vicar St. Sitting at a Dirty 3 show is a crime. Couldn't really hear the crowd during the Village show as I was right up the front with both amps aimed at me.

I enjoyed the gig, despite that fact that the village is really starting to get on my nerves as a venue, especially when it is jammers. It's difficult to see the stage + the sound is pretty average.

Yar, I was right up the front, too. Front'n'centre! Kinda the same for the Vicar, too! What do you make of Cinder?

I must have been standing beside you. I was the guy with the bag up on the stage between the monitors at the front and centre.

I think Cinder is really quite excellent. I like the way they did loads of short songs instead of their usual take ten minutes to build up to something approach. Not that either approach is better than the other, just nice to hear them shake it up. Plus that track with that woman singing is frickin' beautiful.

That's Cat Power, dude. I like Cinder alright, sounds to me more like a movie soundtrack.

Don't remember 'a bag' on the stage, but I DO remember a kid with a Dylan-esque afro trying to hi-5 Warren Ellis, poor thing. :)

I checked the sleeve after I posted, it's Lisa Mountain who plays with Cat Power.

Poor thing indeed. I wasn't him.

Did you pick up the live album on sale at the merch stall? It's pretty good.
