I may be buying an Acer laptop off some1 here on boards in a short while. He says the laptop is around a year old and the 1year warranty is up.
He has the slip from when he bought it and says you can extend the warranty?
Does any1 have any experience with this, how easy will it be to extend and what kind of costs am i looking at?
    Thanks :).

I read somewhere on boards about someone doing that
with a Sony, if I remember correctly.

They bought a 3 year warrenty for around 2/300 euro.

I bought an acer and it comes with a 1 year extended warranty and 3 year optional for I think it was about €130 extra. I was told you can only apply for the 3 year extended warranty within 90 days of your purchase date. I didn't apply for it, my 90 days are up, I'm yet to hear if I can still apply for it from my supplier.

What laptop are you buying anyway as a matter of interest?
