Ok now i'm not the most computer savvy of people and this will probably sound very stupid, but i downloaded a music file and it wont play so I tried to delete it but it wont.

when i right-click the options are "play, add to play list, add to sync list, add to burn list, send to"

when i hit delete on the side bar nothing happens and when i try to put it in a folder it wont move.

    its a bit irritating.....any ideas?

Try unlocker its a free software will get rid of those hard to delete files that should be easily eraseable. It's not big only 159Kb so it should be down in seconds even if your on a crappy dial-up connection. Quite handy this, i downloaded some trial software for ten days and after it expired i couldn't delete the worthless program files for it. Unlocker allowed me to do this.

Firstly, if you downloaded it using an application - close the application. Then try to delete it ..
Refresh the screen (Just in case was deleted but still looks like it's there)
[It's true that either was the case it should display an error stating it..but it's still best to rule out the obvious]

Close Explorer.exe's view of the file and try deleting the file from a command prompt.
