I need to backup my PS2 games and was wondering if I have to get it chipped to run the copies? If so does anyone know where I could get it done on the Southside of Dublin?

If it's not need what alternatives do I have?

    Thanks in advance,
    H.

I have played my backed up games using the Slide Card and a Swap Magic disc. Got it from http://www.modchip.com/ps2/ for €30.

Just choose the correct Slide card for you PS2. V1-11 is for the big PS2, V12,13 is the Slim PS2.

Mine is the big PS2 and takes 1 min to set up and won't void your warranty as you don't have to open your PS2 like for a chip

Works for almost all of my games and there is a fix from http://www.swapmagicfix.com/

Just takes a bit of getting use to, when opening the CD tray with the Slide card.

Can PS2 games play on a PSP? I had a PS2 and the drive died in it, I dont want to buy another one for 150 just to play 4 really good games and I dont want to wait for the PS3, the PSP is already out and I want to know is it possable to copy the game disks onto a memory card so that they will run on a PSP, I know that there may be a size issue with the PS2 games being very large, but is it possable?

I am not looking for instructions on doing it though, as I am not sure of the legality of it.
