Check out Ironmind for a kettle handle you can stack your own plates on.
Probably your best bet for home or gym use?

I bought one from http://www.intensefitness.co.uk/ . Shipping a big lump of iron is expensive, but it's the cheapest alternative (short of making your own).

I have a guide on making your own Kettlebells somewhere.....I'll dig it up and send it to you. Also have you checked out Pavel Tsatsouline's stuff or any of the old time strong men? Don't get Pavel's stuff from his site he really over charges. You can pick it up much cheaper elsewhere. As for the old time strong men kettlebells books you can get all of them for free off http://www.sandowplus.co.uk/Competition/compindex.htm

Easily one of the best resources I ever came across.
