    Hi guys/gals

Bit of a strange one here. The girlfriend and I are heading away at the end of the month for a "Romantic" Weekend. The thing is she thinks her Time of the month is due in around then so to combat this she is going to take the pill constantly for two months and not take the week of in the middle (her idea not mine). Now while im all for it im just wondering is there any health risks to her. Also will the pill be as effective as it always is.
    Thanks
    SM

This is perfectly normal and fine. A description of this is usually on the little booklet that comes with the pill.

She might get some spotting while on the second packet though, but as long as the pill is taken correctly, it will be as effective as it can be.

eh dunno bout the pill thing.
    thats really a doctor's job.
you know, sex is the best cure for period pains.
    buy some condoms.
i know that some people are put off by it but it can be more intimate..

There will be no health risk involved. it is perfectly ok for a girl to take the pill for two months straight in order to skip a period, as long as she doesn't do it the whole time she will be fine.
Yes, the pill will be as effective as always, have a nice weekend :p

She'll be fine, it is quite common for girls to run two packs back to back for this very reason.

I thought that it took 3 months from you started taking the pill till it actually took affect.

I was off to a festival last summer and was looking to skip too..advice i got

theres tablests you can get which you have to take 3 times a day for every day her period is meant to be due..they jsut stop the period though and aren't actually a contraceptive,

the other thing i would say is it sometimes takes a few months for peoples bodys to get used to being on the pill so even if she did run one pack into another it may not have acquired effect if shes jsut starting the pill

effective immediately if taken at the right time (on the first day of your period for most).

Two packs together- absolutely no problemoroony. Have fun!!

As Dudara mentioned tho, spotting can happen towards the end of the second pack so that might freak her a bit but totally nothing to be concerned about.
