Firefox and pdfs?

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me tweak Firefox so I can download pdf files. I'm using 1.0.7 on xp and whenever I click to open or download a pdf in a link I just get a blank window open which just says Done in the left corner in the status bar. Thanks

Try reinstalling Adobe Reader.

Or there's a lighter program called Foxit as an alternative to Adobes monstrosity:

I use it with Firefox, when I click a .pdf link, it downloads it in FF and then it opens seperately with Foxit. Simple.

Once you get Adobe installed on your system, may I also suggest you install this excellent extention for firefox, https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=636
